This is what our tentative agenda looks like


·        9:00 AM  Gather at the State Capitol (206 Washington Street SW, Atlanta, GA  30334)

·        9:15 AM  Walk over to Liberty Plaza (outdoor venue, rain or shine), distribute Advocacy buttons

·        9:20 AM  Introduction/Welcome by NASW-GA Staff

·        9:25 AM  Wendi L. Clifton, Esq. NASW-GA Legislative Advocate

                         Lobbying 101: Influencing State Policy - Social Justice, Advocacy & the Social Work Profession

·        9:45 AM  Walk to South Wing of the Georgia State Capitol for group picture inside the building

·        10:05 AM May have representative speak to us inside the Capitol building

·        10:20 AM Walk over to Guided Tours/Museum (see attached information for details)

·        11:00 AM Guided tours are 1½ hour long

·        12:30 PM Lunch, Evaluation and Feedback to take place in Garden Room

                          (bring your own lunch/brown bag - the program ends after lunch)

·        2:00 PM  Free Time: Scavenger hunt on your own (information for the scavenger hunt will be in your event

                         packet) or visit your Representative (you’re responsible for scheduling your appointment

Cost: $15 per person, to cover event bag, pamphlets, buttons and dessert.
